BUT IS IT COUNTRY?

The Canberra Country Music Festival has a theme “Serious About Having A Good Time” and “But Is It Country?” takes it to another level. 2 teams of conservative, eccentric and obsessive personalities compete to be Country Music Gurus. With a mix of multiple choice, name that tune, true and false and guesstimates, this is a live panel show not to be missed. And with audience participation at times encouraged you can be sure to have fun and many laughs! More details ....

TEAMS CHALLENGE

The Canberra Country Music Festival is proud to host the annual Teams Challenge raising funds for community charities with a lot of fun along the way. The Teams Challenge is where groups from various emergency, defence and other institutional agencies come together in fitness and fun to compete and raise funds for charities. With three activities (tyre roll, tug-o-war & relay) held in heats, to reach the final is the goal that only two teams can achieve. More details ....

NATIONAL COUNTRY DANCE

One of the highlights of the 3 day Canberra Country Music Festival is the National Country Dance held on the Saturday night. The location of this special event is the True Blue Stage within the Festival site at Exhibition Park. Coordinated by the Monaro Folk Society and featuring the period costume dressed Monaro Colonial Dancers, presentational cloggers, Square Dancing and plenty of Linedancing - this is a sight to behold. CANBERRA UTE VAN + TRUCK MUSTER

The Festival is home to a great ute, van and truck muster with all vehicles proudly on display. Awards include: BNS, Feral, Chicks, Vintage, Work, Street, Street Modified, 4WD vehicles as well as overall Best Ute, Best Van and Best Truck. The Muster also raises funds for various non-profit community organizations, such as Brain Injury Australia (assisting road accident victims and carers). Whilst there is no circle work, burn outs or decibel revs the display is serious fun! More details ....
